Regretfully, BitDefender developers have terminated their promo subscrition policy.

Neverthelles, it still remains the possibility to continue using BitDefender protection for free but by making use of its 30 days trial period which has to be renewed every month without reinstalling BitDefender, same as it is today. It is also worth clarifying that during the whole 30 days trial period there is no restriction or limitation whatsoever as far as the BitDefender features is concerned.

Based on said new circumstance, you have two alternative ways to follow:

AA) To continue using BitDefender Total Security,

or,

BB) To upgrade to BitDefender Premium Security without reinstalling your security product which includes the possibility to install the fully-fledged BitDerfender Premium VPN (no traffic limitation and with more than 50 servers around the world which you can choose).

Please advise which of the two alternatives you prefer so that I may extend your BitDefender working condition but in any of the two cases, under 30 days trial status.

I did as you suggested and I do have a subscription for 30 days. I'm just not sure if I did something wrong as the product info still says Bitdefender Total Security but the subscription says Bitdefender Premium Security. It doesn't really matter as I have protection either way and I can use the VPN and Scam Copilot which seems to be related to Bitdefender Premium Security.

I was just wondering if I should have done something I missed.

To be on the safe side, in order to determine if you have a BitDefender Premium Security susbcription, open your BitDefender VPN GUI => click "Settings" in the top right corner => click "My Account" in the left area and then check if it shows "BitDefender VPN Premium" as it is indicated in this pic:
